  3. Social media, mobile devices, and tech tools can be utilized effectively for professional interaction

  4. A true client deliverable from a professional must be a true “best effort” as it bears the weight of not only the professional’s reputation but also his/her firm and any collaborators

  5. Art, design, and creativity adapted to a “real world” need is the highest form of problem solving and is particularly valued in the corporate world

  1. How to collect client input and feedback and combine it with their ideas, creativity, and talent to design, create, and propose a solution

  3. How to incorporate feedback constructively to improve a product design

  4. How their efforts, collaboration, conduct, and products build a “reputation” in the community over time that affects their viability as a professional 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO...
  1. Collaborate with a partner to interview a client and design a “dream” home in Sketchup

  2. Use technology (social media, mobile apps, etc.) to collaborate with others to provide and receive constructive feedback

  3. Use client and peer feedback constructively in several iterations of the design process leading to constant improvement of the product and the best possible final deliverable

  4. Select and employ the most appropriate technology and authoring tools to showcase how their design solves a need or problem and to persuade a client to pick them in a competitive marketplace of professionals

  5. Work within and contribute to an online community (Google+) as a microcosm of the type of professional community that they may one day belong to
